StatLogic Sports Week 7 NFL Power Rankings

Updated: Oct 31

It's been another week of change in the National Football League as injuries continue to mount, top wide receivers change teams, quarterbacks get benched and coaches' seats get a little bit hotter. Our power rankings try to take all of that into consideration to paint a picture of where each team ranks right this minute and not where the team might end up being ranked in December.

It's easy to speculate where teams might be if all their players return to health for the stretch run, but not as easy to quantify where they should be ranked with key players out of the lineup. And speculation also doesn't take into consideration other injuries that we know will occur during the war of attrition that is an NFL season.

Our Week 7 NFL power rankings are below, and please understand they are based on a formula and process. We don't always completely agree with the numbers that we end up with, which are a combination of simple on-field performance and box score analysis along with our proprietary algorithms numbers, what the bookmakers think and the opinion of the sharp betting market.

Earlier in the week we use this information to determine which games might present an edge one way or another for betters and we continue to monitor changes in point spreads, daily news, injury reports. As game day approaches we continue to track those games, run the numbers again, apply our set of strict rules and guidelines to weed out the ones with any red flags and release our recommended selections for the week.

The numbers are the numbers, but based on our model and other considerations there definitely are teams we think may be undervalued and overvalued each week. Those teams are listed below after the rankings along with games where we feel there might be a betting edge. At the top of the heap, a score of 100 would be perfect and show that we are certain of which team is the best right now. You'll see that we don't have that right now. The Kansas City Chiefs do grade out slightly ahead of the Detroit Lions, but it is very close.
